Colleen Clark
LSW, Clinician
I see clients throughout the life cycle, who may be experiencing difficulties that impact their happiness or ability to function day to day. My work has primarily focused on supporting children and young adults along with their families overcome the obstacles they face. I've helped them address concerns involving developmental struggles, behavioral issues, strained peer relationships, as well as emotional regulation. I have facilitated family sessions and prefer working closely with parents/caretakers in order to best support the child and in turn the family system. I enjoy working with adults to address anxiety, worry, stress, depression, and issues that may arise from being neurodivergent. A passion of mine is helping adults recover from childhoods they may describe as being chaotic, stressful, or traumatic. Seeing the transformation in clients, when I'm able to educate and help them process through the impact of unhealthy or emotionally immature parenting, has been incredibly rewarding. What I have found, is those who have experienced this in their own childhood often struggle with parenting and the ups and downs that occur. I see myself as a helpful guide through these challenges as well.

I have found success utilizing a varied approach to therapy in order to best meet each individual client where they are at. Such approaches include: play and experiential therapies for my younger clients, attachment therapy strategies, as well as interpersonal therapy for teens and adults. Additionally, I provide trauma informed care to all clients impacted by trauma in their life.
